We Made our Voices Heard and Now the Work Continues
Thank you for all of your work and financial contributions to our campaign. You made a difference. Thanks to you I will return to Richmond. In March, when we started our re-election campaign, I asked some of you how you would describe our campaign. You responded, “Planting the Seeds for a Stronger Virginia”. At our first fundraiser in the Spring, we handed out seeds of Virginia native wildflowers to remind all of us, that we need to nurture and protect our Commonwealth in order to see it continue to grow. We will continue the good work of those who have preceded us in Richmond.

This past weekend Charniele received an endorsement from the Washington Post. Comparing Charniele to her opponent, the Post called Charniele “a Democrat with long, deep and broad civic experience.”
Delegate Herring Recognized as a Virginia Trail Blazer
Delegate Charniele Herring was honored by the Virginia Leadership Institute by receiving the Trail Blazer award for her service to the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Virginia Leadership Institute presented Delegate Herring with the award during a reception during the Congressional Black Caucus week.

Virginia Education Association Endorses Our Campaign
August is roaring right along with heat waves and afternoon thunderstorms pelting our community. Many of us are taking those long-awaited family vacations, or we are tapping into that creative instinct with family “stay-cations”. In light of our economy, many are opting for BBQ and sprinklers instead of restaurants and water parks. One thing is for sure: it is really starting to heat up out there.
